Frequently Asked Questions

A 3PL (third-party logistics provider) is a company that handles logistics for other businesses — typically receiving and storing inventory, picking and packing orders, shipping them and managing inventory. Using a 3PL lets a brand outsource its warehouse operations instead of running them in-house.

KLS Fulfillment is a Southern California 3PL that provides e-commerce fulfillment, wholesale (B2B) fulfillment, value-added services such as kitting, labeling, custom packaging and quality inspection, storage and warehousing, and inventory management with real-time tracking.

A member of the KLS Fulfillment team reviews your information, follows up with any questions about your products and orders, and then prepares a proposal tailored to your business.

Onboarding time depends on how your store connects, how many SKUs you have and how your inventory arrives. KLS Fulfillment outlines the onboarding steps and timeline with your quote.

3PL pricing is usually made up of several fees: receiving inventory, monthly storage, pick and pack per order, packaging materials, shipping, and any value-added services such as kitting or labeling. Totals depend on your order volume, product size and service needs, which is why KLS Fulfillment provides custom quotes.

Accurate forecasts, right-sized packaging, fewer SKUs sitting idle in storage and good inventory data all reduce fulfillment costs. KLS Fulfillment’s reporting, reorder alerts and carrier relationships help you control storage and shipping spend.
